There are 2 different gates in the middle of this Lempuyang Temple.

The first gate is what they call Gelung-Kori, which is the gate that connects the middle courtyard and the main yard where devotees pray. These gates consist of three-door holes which are all about 4 meters long. Each gate has unique stairs and is adorned with giant statues of gods and dragons.

One other gate is called Candi-Bentar/Split Gate, which the tourists call the Gate Of Heaven. The gate is located at the bottom entrance, which connects the outer courtyard and the middle courtyard of the temple. This door is the most popular place to take combination photos with the background of Mt. Agung that looks towards the temple area.
